Dr. M. Afraz Ghafoor
Dr Ghafoor has vast experience in general practice. He graduated in 2004 and has completed many diplomas including Medical Acupuncture from Australian Medical Acupuncture College.  
Dr Ghafoors main areas of interest are

  • Skin Cancer
  • Cosmetic Medicine

Dr. M. Faisal Rafiq
Dr Rafiq has extensive experience in general practice. He graduated in 2002 and after working in many various fields of medicine joined general practice.
Dr Rafiq has extensive experience in managing chronic diseases and skin cancer. His special interest are
  • Skin Cancer
  • Acupuncture
  • Chronic Diseases

Dr. Mehwish N. Shaikh

Dr. Mehwish has lived and worked in the Sunshine Coast since 2014. She completed her fellowship with the RACGP.  Her areas of interests include:

  • Skin cancer screening and treatment
  • Reproductive and sexual health including contraceptive advice and shared antenatal care.
  • Chronic diseases management ( e.g. Diabetes Asthma and heart health )
  • Paediatric medicine focussing on healthy happy children

Dr Paula Pissini
Dr Paula is a highly skilled general practitioner. She graduated in 2008 in Brazil where she did an internal medicine residency and after gaining extensive experience, moved to Australia in 2017 to practice as a GP.
Dr Paula sees patients of all age groups, and has special interests:
  • Managing chronic diseases
  • Skin checks and excisions
  • Women’s health
  • Children’s health
  • Mental health

Dr Brandon Oliver
Dr Brandon Oliver is a registrar who started with the clinic in January 2023. He was born and raised in Canada, and has been escaping the cold in Australia for 9 years now.
 
Brandon completed an undergraduate degree in Medical Science in London, Ontario, Canada before completing his medical school training at the University of Queensland in Brisbane. He has rural experience working in Mackay as a Junior Doctor, and has most recently completed 2 years at the National Capital Private Hospital in Canberra.
 
As a new GP, Brandon has a broad interest in medicine, and welcomes all presentations. When not at work he enjoys the outdoors, staying active, and remains an avid ice hockey enthusiast.

Dr Carmela Pangilinan
General Practitioner – Dr Carmela is a passionate doctor who hails from the Philippines. She has extensive experience working in various hospitals around Australia with over 5 years spent in Far North Queensland. Carmela has worked within many medical subspecialties and she has also recently completed a stint with the adult and paediatric emergency department in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Dr Carmela sees patients of all age groups and holds a special interest in the following:
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health
  • Chronic Health Disease Management (hypertension, cardiovascular disease, etc.)
  • Endocrine Conditions (diabetes, thyroid, bone health, pituitary disorders)
  • Women’s Health

Dr Paula Pissini

Dr Thomas

Dr Thomas graduated from the University of Queensland in 2017 and has experience in a broad range of hospital and community settings. He grew up on the Sunshine Coast and loves spending time with his partner and two young children.

He enjoys all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in: chronic disease, Men’s Health, minor injuries, paediatrics and skin cancer.

Dr Brandon Oliver

Dr Shen Lu

Dr Shen graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2019 and worked at hospitals all over the Sunshine Coast before pursuing a career in General Practice. He is interested in all areas of medicine, with a particular interest in palliative care, paediatrics and women’s health. He loves spending time with his young family, playing basketball and travelling the world. He is currently accepting new patients and excited to be part of the team.

Dr Chiné Burger

Dr Chiné Burger is a South African trained doctor fluent in English and Afrikaans. She obtained her degree from the University of Pretoria. She gained very valuable experience in South Africa in a very busy rural hospital across multiple disciplines before moving to Australia and gaining extensive Emergency Medicine experience in both Melbourne and Hervey Bay. She has now settled in the Sunshine Coast with her family. She has a passion for preventative medicine and educating her patients, empowering them to make choices that will improve their health outcomes and prevent chronic disease, with a special interest in Paediatrics and Women’s Health. Dr Burger is currently busy completing her post graduate diploma in Paediatrics alongside GP training. Outside of work Dr Burger and her husband spend their time running after their little kids and keep fit and active in-between.

Dr Danielle Richards

Danielle graduated in 2012 in UK with BMBS and BSc in medical imaging. Since migrating to Australia in 2014 and has had experience across many adult medicine specialties prior to completing her RACGP fellowship exams in 2022.

Currently, Dr Richards is completing specialty training to compliment her interest in skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy through the Skin Cancer College Australasia. She offers comprehensive skin checks and performs minor skin surgeries.

Danielle also has interest in general medicine and chronic disease and encourages joint decision making to improve the health and wellbeing of her patients.

In her spare time, Danielle is a keen runner and enjoys family time with her partner and 2 young children.
