Dr. Mehwish N. Shaikh

DR MEHWISH N SHAIKH

Dr. Mehwish has lived and worked in the Sunshine Coast since 2014. She completed her fellowship with the RACGP. She is very passionate about medical education and believes great family doctors are the key to great health outcomes.

She enjoys whole of body medicine and believes the role of GP as family medicine care provider across the ages. Her areas of interests include :

  • Skin cancer screening and treatment
  • Reproductive and sexual health including contraceptive advice and shared antenatal care.
  • Chronic diseases management ( e.g. Diabetes Asthma and heart health )
  • Paediatric medicine focussing on healthy happy children
Outside of medicine she enjoys being a mum, and loves travel, hiking , nature adventures and bush walks with her family.
Dr Tamseela Kausar

Dr Kauser is the newest member of our team. She has wast experience in Gynaecology and women health issues. Her areas of expertise include chronic disease management and dermatology.

Dr.M. Afraz Ghafoor

Dr Ghafoor has vast experience in general practice. Graduated 2004 and has loads of experience in various fields especially chronic disease management and mental health. Dr Ghafoor has done diploma in child health and diploma in Medical Acupuncture from Australian Medical Acupuncture college. His main areas of interest are Mental health, child health and skin cancer medicine.

Dr. M. Faisal Rafiq

Dr Rafiq has extensive experience in general practice. He graduated from medical school in 2002 and after working in many various fields of medicine joined general practice. Dr Rafiq has extensive experience in managing chronic diseases and skin cancer. With a back ground in surgery and having done certificate in skin cancer medicine from Australian college of skin cancer medicine his skills in skin cancer surgery and other minor surgery is extensive. Dr Rafiq has also done diploma in Medical Acupuncture from Australian Medical Acupuncture College.
